Range
Not only is the Hoss R1 agile and multi-terrain capable, but thanks to its 60km range, you can travel directly to your destination rather than using a car or public transport.
Self-balancing
The Hoss R1 is built on one-axis, self-balancing technology, allowing the user to ride on two wheels. This means that you get the agility of an indoor chair with its compact size and tight turning circle. But you also get excellent off-road capability, as the two wheels let you traverse a range of terrains.
App connectivity
From the Hoss app, you can configure your user settings, including adjusting the control sensitivity to suit you and the safety system, and view trip distances and average speed.
Responsive Safety System
The Hoss R1 has a safety system that is completely independent from the main drivetrain and takes care of you in every situation. The system consists of an intelligent network of sensors. The instant the Hoss goes into balance mode, gyro and acceleration sensors analyse the behaviour of the user and the ground several hundred times per second to balance the driver. Stabilisers deploy within a split second in an emergency and bring the Hoss to a safe, standing stop. It includes a backup battery specifically for the safety system.
Comfort
NovitaTech supplied the Hoss R1 with a Respira comfort backrest and a NovitaTech 3D-printed cushion to provide all-day comfort.

The HOSS R1 Side Mirror is an accessory designed to improve rear visibility and safety during rides. It can be mounted on either the left or right side and features an adjustable convex mirror for a wider field of view.
The HOSS R1 Raindek Long is a rain cover for the legs designed to help keep the legs and seat cushion dry during travel in wet weather. This version extends from the hips over the knees to the shoes and can be put on or removed in under a minute.
The HOSS R1 Accessory Cup Holder provides a practical way to carry a drinking bottle while travelling. Made from reinforced plastic, it features a flexible opening suitable for bottles with diameters from 64 mm to 74 mm.
The HOSS R1 Accessory Cane Holder is designed specifically for the HOSS and can securely hold two canes or crutches. It allows one-handed attachment and removal and can be installed quickly without tools.
The HOSS R1 Accessory Footboard Folding Aid allows the footboard to be folded up or down without the need to bend down. Made from robust oak wood, it is designed to sit comfortably in the hand.
The HOSS R1 Accessory Armrest Cover is designed for the HOSS system. The cover is supplied without a light or screws and allows the light cables to run through during installation.
