What is Mind Express 5?
Mind Express 5 is AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) software made by Jabbla. It helps children and adults with little or no speech to communicate using symbols, text or a combination of both, with a natural-sounding voice.
Mind Express 5 comes with every new Vibe and Tellus communication device. You can also buy a licence to use it on your own Windows computer or tablet.

Symbol communication
Build sentences by selecting symbols. Choose a ready-made page set, such as PODD, or create personalised pages with your own photos. Mind Express 5 grows with the user, from first words to complex language.
Text communication
For people who can spell, the on-screen keyboard with word and sentence prediction makes typing faster. Messages are spoken aloud and can be shown on the partner display of a Jabbla device.

Which Mind Express 5 licence do I need?
There are three ways to get Mind Express 5. Use the guides below to find the right licence and any add-ons.
- A new Jabbla device (Vibe 10, Vibe 12+, Tellus 6 or Tellus i6): Mind Express 5 is included.
- A stand-alone licence for your own Windows PC or tablet: perpetual or annual subscription.
- A PODD licence: if you want to use or print PODD communication books.

Mind Express 5 FAQs
Is Mind Express 5 included with Jabbla devices?
Yes. Every new Vibe 10, Vibe 12+, Tellus 6 and Tellus i6 comes with a Jabbla device licence for Mind Express 5, with PCS, SymbolStix and WLS included. PODD is an optional add-on. (The Allora 3 uses its own text-to-speech software.)
Can I use Mind Express 5 on my own computer?
Yes. Buy a stand-alone licence for a Windows PC or tablet. Choose a perpetual licence (buy once) or an annual subscription.
What is the difference between perpetual and annual licences?
A perpetual licence is a one-off purchase. Symbol sets such as PCS, SymbolStix, Bliss and WLS, and PODD, are add-ons. An annual subscription includes PCS, SymbolStix and Bliss, with PODD and WLS as add-ons, and is available for multiple users.
Do I need a Mind Express licence to use PODD?
Not if you only want to print PODD books. A Print Only PODD licence gives access to the Mind Express features you need. If you want to use PODD on a device, you need a Mind Express licence (perpetual or annual) plus a PODD Direct Access or Alternate Access licence.
Can I try Mind Express 5 first?

Can NDIS funding be used?
AAC software and devices can be funded through the NDIS when they’re reasonable and necessary. NovitaTech is an NDIS registered provider. See funding options.
