Sometimes you need equipment now, not in three months. NovitaTech hires out assistive technology from a fleet of thousands of items, from everyday equipment you can use straight away to scripted and customised equipment for more complex needs.
We hire to NDIS participants, aged care clients, hospitals, organisations and private customers, for both adults and children, on a short or long-term basis.
Every item is inspected by one of our technicians before it’s delivered, and our hire service runs under an ISO 9001 quality management system.

How hire works
- Tell us what you need. Send an enquiry or call us. Let us know the equipment, how long you need it and where it’s going.
- Check the right level of support. Some equipment can be hired straight away. Higher-risk equipment needs a recommendation from a therapist, and some items also need input from our clinicians. We’ll let you know what’s needed.
- We prepare your equipment. A technician inspects every item before it goes out.
- Delivery or collection. Collect from us, or ask about delivery and collection.
- Extend or return. Talk to us if your needs change.
Funding equipment hire
NovitaTech is an NDIS registered provider. Equipment hire can be funded through the NDIS (self, plan or agency managed) or paid privately. We also work with aged care, hospital and rehabilitation, and injury and compensation funders.

Equipment hire FAQs
Do I need a prescription to hire equipment?
Not always. Lower-risk equipment can usually be hired without a prescription. Medium-risk equipment needs a therapist’s recommendation, and higher-risk equipment needs input from both your therapist and our clinicians.
Do you hire equipment for children?
Yes. Our hire fleet includes paediatric and adult equipment.
How long can I hire for?
We offer both short-term and long-term hire. Tell us how long you think you’ll need the equipment and we’ll help you plan.
Is the equipment checked before I get it?
Yes. A technician inspects every item before it’s delivered.
Can I hire through the NDIS?
Yes. NovitaTech is an NDIS registered provider, and we can hire to self, plan and agency managed participants.
What if I want to keep the equipment?
If you decide you need the equipment for good, talk to us about buying new equipment. You can also trial products before you buy.
