The Forte Sovereign S6 High Care Support Mattress is a static foam mattress that provides the highest level of care possible for patients at risk of pressure injuries. It is designed to manage micro-climate, shear, support, immersion, and pressure redistribution.
The mattress features an Airoform Gel Immersion Interface layer, which is a visco-elastic memory foam with gel particles impregnated throughout. The gel particles absorb heat from the patient, helping to prevent the build-up of moisture and heat, which can contribute to pressure injuries.
The mattress also has a high-density, responsive secondary Immersion layer that has zoned and modulated regions. This helps to provide targeted support to different parts of the body, reducing the risk of pressure sores.
The mattress is also covered with a full breathable anti-shearing inner cover. This helps to wick away moisture and prevent the skin from sticking to the mattress, which can also help to prevent pressure injuries.
